It allows multiple data sets to be combined into a single dynamic web page, and is ideal for the creation of data mining, page analysis, Web page filtering, and article clipping software. Sleep is an embeddable scripting solution for Java applications. It is heavily inspired by Perl with bits of Objective-C thrown in. Features include function closures as first-class types, a unified I/O interface for sockets/processes/files, and the ability to instantiate/query Java objects. The Sleep Java API allows the language to be extended with new constructs, operators, functions, and variable containers.
